We’re a family-owned New Zealand company with 35+ years of transport operations experience. We built DFRNT because we understand what matters to logistics professionals like you—including privacy and data security.

This Privacy Policy explains in plain language how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Transportation Management System. We’ve organized it so you can quickly find what you need.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account and use DFRNT. Here’s what we collect and why:

Personal Information

Account details, profile, identity verification, payment info, employment data

Usage Data

Device info, logs, location data, performance metrics, route information

Communications

Messages, notifications, support interactions, metadata

2.1 Personal Information
  • Account Information: Name, email, phone, username, password, company details
  • Profile Information: Profile picture, job title, preferences
  • Identity Verification: Driver’s license, employment verification, ID documents
  • Payment Information: Payment methods, billing address, transaction history
  • Employment Information: Employment status, company code, work history

Like most software platforms, DFRNT automatically collects technical information:

  • Device information (hardware model, OS, unique identifiers)
  • Log information (usage details, error reports, browser type)
  • Location data (real-time geographic location for delivery tracking)
  • Performance data (delivery metrics, route info, timing data)

We collect information when you communicate with us or other users through the App, including communications content and metadata.

We use your information to run DFRNT effectively and give you the best possible experience. Specifically, we use it to:

  • Process and complete transactions
  • Facilitate delivery operations and logistics management
  • Verify your identity and employment eligibility

4.1 With Your Employer or Company
For Company Users
If you’re using DFRNT through your employer, they may access your performance metrics and usage data.

If you’re using DFRNT through your company or employer, we may share:

  • Usage data (login times, feature usage)
  • Performance metrics (delivery times, route completion)
  • Communication records related to work

We share information with third-party vendors who help us operate DFRNT, including cloud hosting (AWS), payment processors, and analytics providers.

We may disclose information when legally required to:

  • Comply with laws, regulations, or legal processes
  • Protect rights, property, and safety
  • Detect, prevent, or address fraud and security issues
  • Enforce our Terms of Service

If we’re involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to send you notifications, alerts, and updates via SMS or push notifications.

  • Your contact info is processed by AWS for message delivery
  • Standard message rates may apply
  • You can opt out anytime (reply STOP to SMS)
  • We don’t share your number with third parties for marketing

However, no system is 100% secure. We continuously work to protect your information.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide DFRNT Services and comply with legal obligations.

How Long We Keep Your Data
  • Active account data: Duration of service + 30 days
  • Transaction records: 7 years (regulatory compliance)
  • Performance data: 2 years for analytics
  • Communications: 1 year unless legally required longer

7. Your Rights & Choices

You have control over your personal information. Depending on where you live, you have specific legal rights regarding your data.

Access and Update

View and edit your profile information, contact details, and preferences in your DFRNT account settings.

Enable or disable location services in your device settings. Note: This may impact certain features.

Opt out of promotional communications by following instructions in those communications or adjusting account settings.

In certain jurisdictions (EU, California, New Zealand), you have rights to:

  • Request access to your personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Request restrictions on processing
  • Object to certain types of processing

8. Children's Privacy

DFRNT is designed for professional use in commercial transportation and logistics. Our Services are not intended for anyone under 18 years of age.

We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you’re a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@deliverdifferent.com, and we’ll delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Global Operations

DFRNT operates in New Zealand and the United States. Your information may be transferred to, and processed in, countries other than your country of residence.

We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers, including:

  • Standard contractual clauses approved by regulatory authorities
  • Compliance with Privacy Shield principles where applicable
  • Adequate data protection measures meeting international standards
